Instructions for installing "Fort Knox" retainers

When you recieve your floorplate, replace the stock spring with the spring we provide and replace the stock floorplate with ours -- that's fairly self explanatory.

The only part you need worry about is the Fort Knox retainer itself.

1. Attach the retainer to the back of the floorplate, but don't tighten it up.

2. Look at the back of the magazine, where it touches the back of the floor plate. That surface should be almost flat, or bowed out just slightly.

3. Tighten the floorplate to where it presses on the magazine, but does not flatten the back wall of the magazine.

WHY: Magazine dimensions vary slightly, and if you tighten the retainer down all the way, sometimes the retainer will push the back wall of the magazine into the area where the spring travels -- causing malfunctions.

Summary: Tighten the retainer down to where it presses on the magazine, then go try it out. You may need to fiddle with it a little bit to get the tension just right.
